Visual identity project and institutional website design, along with other printed and digital materials, aligning the brand’s strategic positioning with its visual expression.
FILMICCA is an independent Brazilian streaming platform dedicated to classic and contemporary auteur cinema. Created by Gracielly after years of curating and distributing independent films through Supo Mungam Films, the platform was born to bring works to Brazilian audiences that often never reached local theaters.
With careful human curation, FILMICCA introduces new titles weekly, valuing diversity and a plurality of voices. Half of its catalog is made up of films directed by women, including works by some of the most important filmmakers in world cinema. Available throughout Brazil via web and apps for major devices and smart TVs, FILMICCA connects great films with Brazilian cinephiles.
The brand was born from the desire for a minimal, authorial identity aligned with the essence built over the years. Our partnership, which began in 2019 — first as Supo Mungam Films and later as Supo Mungam Plus — was essential to this process. The closeness and history of collaboration allowed the transition to happen naturally, respecting the curation and perspective that have always defined the company.
The result is a minimal and functional brand, designed to exist consistently across both digital and printed formats. It preserves the essence of the previous phase while presenting itself in a more current way, following the company’s evolution — now more focused on streaming and the digital universe, without leaving behind theatrical releases and expansion into new formats, such as the online store — another project that will be featured here soon.
The visual identity is built around pure black and white, reinforcing a clean, timeless, and confident aesthetic. As contrast and a point of emphasis, I developed a strategic secondary palette. Gold, especially when combined with black, became a distinctive resource to highlight titles and key elements, adding sophistication without compromising the brand’s restraint.
More details about typography, color systems, and applications can be found in the brand manual available within this project.
