The dreaded blank page

Suddenly, like a bug, you crash. You don't know why, but it just happens.

Tips

You have to work or you simply want to draw something. Suddenly, like a bug, you crash. You don't know exactly why, but it happens. Who hasn't experienced that, right?

Sometimes it's because of a personal problem, other times because of tiredness and then the mind needs time to relax... or it happens that you don't see anything at all and you fall into despair.

Don't be upset!

As uncomfortable as it is, it's perfectly normal and at some point we've all experienced it.

The best thing to do in these cases is to lighten up a bit, maybe even draw Random things — seriously, it really works! It's a good way to get rid of the ideas that sometimes keep wandering unconsciously in the head. I do a lot of this, too, to clarify ideas.

The opposite often happens, a billion ideas and by doodling here and there we can determine which are the best and which are the bad. You will see that little doodles will open your mind!

It always helps to distance yourself a bit from what you're doing when you have one Bug. Take a long walk in the park, maybe? Or maybe watch a movie or that series that you haven't had time to see yet. You just have to be careful that clearing out doesn't become procrastination! Focusing on other subjects or having fun is a great strategy to resume work/drawing, as long as you know how to balance your time!

When you clear up and are ready to focus entirely or have a specific subject to write or draw, always do a lot of research as well. Make lists, identify key points. Read a lot! Know that for everything you do in life, learning will never stop.

So doodle, whatever it is. Write, whatever it is too. Go watch something, go for a walk... then come back and beat the blank page. You're bigger than her!
