Drawings of the Week #114

Traditional (in ink and pastel pencils) and digital (Procreate) drawings and a wallpaper for you :)

I haven't posted here in a while, haven't I? I haven't stopped drawing, you can rest assured. As I said in the previous post, I had a lot of things to solve, both personal and professional, and I needed some time off from the blog to organize myself.

I shouldn't come back with a post every week as usual, but I'll post whenever possible. Here are the drawings I made in those months that I didn't post and that you can check below :)

Sketch in pastel pencils.
This one started out as a still-life study and then I took a different path, haha. It became a bit of a crazy city idea XD
Another doodle dropped on Procreate. I ended up not finishing it because I didn't like the direction I was taking so much, haha (the artist who never abandoned a drawing/painting that even throws the first stone).

Sketch in ink pens and anatomy study.
Scribble loose on ink pens.
A quick and loose study in Procreate. The idea was to draw quickly and without much concern - something cool to do to let go of your hand or when you need to get rid of bad ideas, hahaha.
I decided to finish this elf better. It began as a simple study of anatomy.
I took a long time in the details, improving with each step, which was great because I got better results than I expected.

The idea was really to work as best as possible on her anatomy, both as a form of study and to give better results to the painting. As I have mentioned here a few times, I like to bring to a drawing/painting something that I'm not so used to drawing in more detail and combining with what I'm already used to, allowing me to study while having fun creating something that I'm already familiar with. It's a way of learning little by little and it helps a lot.

Final result.
After I finished painting, I brought it to Photoshop to create a cool wallpaper with it. You can download by clicking here in case you want to use it on your desktop :) below, a time-lapse of the painting.

Well, that's it, guys. I hope you enjoyed the post :)

At the moment I should focus more on studies - mainly on anatomy. I don't promise that there will be drawing posts next week now, but I'll do my best, haha. In the meantime, you can follow newer designs through my page on Facebook or Instagram, where I usually post drawings as soon as I finish or in progress. If you prefer, you can subscribe to newsletter to keep up to date with the latest news on the blog so as not to miss new posts.

Thank you for your support and for always following my posts. It's always a great incentive for me to be able to encourage others to follow that wonderful journey of drawing. Keep drawing <3
