Inktober's second week paid off a lot, yay! Post was supposed to come out on Sunday, but in the rush I ended up not being able to post before :( Sorry, guys. Anyway, let's move on to this week's drawings:
Day 7, Enchanted. I decided to make a little witch using your enchanted wand XD I only used black and white pens (at the end of the post I make a list with the materials and brands that I used in general, in fact, as I agreed in the previous post).
Day 8, Frail. The idea behind this drawing is to transform your fragility into strength. I used black and white pens, in addition to gold as well. I started mixing white and gold this week, in fact, and I obtained some interesting results that you will see better in the next drawings.
Day 9, Swing. A hummingbird couple enjoying an XD date I used white, black, and gold pens.
This, without a doubt, was one of the most laborious of the week, haha.
Day 10, Pattern. A “mechanical” dragonfly, inspired by the style Steampunk. I used gold, silver, black, and white pens.
Day 11, Snow. I decided to make a snow globe. I used black, white, and gold pens. The cool thing about using white and then gold on top is that it gave a really cool lighting effect, something I thought I couldn't do with the pen marks I used, but it worked (UniPosca white and Sakura Gelly Roll gold).
Day 12, Dragon. I even gave him a name, Volandriil, in addition to creating a poem/story too, haha. It follows below:
And Through the Skies Came Volandriil (And through the heavens came Volandriil), Beast of Wings Black and White (Black and white winged beast), Yin and Yang combined (Yin and Yang combined).
With a Lightening Power of Legends of Old (With the lightning power of ancient legends), His Deeds Yet to Be Foretold (your actions yet to be predicted). With his wings he soars the Skies (With his wings he flies in the Heavens) Above and Beyond (above and beyond).
Be Wary - For He May Shatter the World Apart (Be cautious - because it could tear the world apart) With His Mighty Thunderous Roars Afar (with its powerful thunderous roars in the distance).
Day 13, Ash. I used black and white pens.
In addition to the Inktober drawings, I wrote a digital doodle on Procreate, since I missed you so much, haha.
A study to practice light/shade, colors, etc. I started in shades of gray and then painted over the top. I ended up posting time-lapse just on the Facebook page itself. If you want to see it, just click here :)
And, as promised in the previous post, a list of materials used this week:
Sakura Pigma Micron 01 - One of the main ones I use, both for areas with little shade and for areas with more shadows;
Sakura Pigma Micron 005 - Also one of the main ones. I use more for areas with little shade and/or details where I need to be very careful not to darken too much - I use enough to make smooth lines and increase shading as needed;
Sakura Pigma Micron 03 - to fill darker and/or purely black areas;
UnipoSCA PC-1MR black(0.7mm, pin type) - to fill in darker and/or purely black areas as well. Use for reinforcement;
UnipoSCA PC-1MR white(0.7mm, pin type) - for lighting areas, and/or reinforcing glows in the design;
UnipoSCA PC-1M gold(0.7mm, bullet shaped) - what I want to decorate for and make it golden;
Sakura Gelly Roll silver and/or gold - what I want to give a silver and/or gold shine to. In fact, this week I noticed that the Sakura Gelly Roll is better than the UniPoSCA that I have for filling larger areas.
Paper: 200g/m² common kraft
First generation iPad Air, Procreate app, and Intuos Creative Stylus 2 - for digital painting. The brush I use to paint is the app's standard. It's textured and the name is Nikko Rull.
That's it for today, but there will be more next week! o/
