And here comes another edition of the Designs of the Week, hehe! \o/
A quick and loose sketch.
A sketch of a vampire elf, hahaha.
This was the result of a study of pose and anatomy. The idea is not to be extremely perfect, but to capture the pose and structure in a general way.
I wanted to draw a picture to represent nostalgia. The ship and the emptiness at sea convey the idea of “lost”, lack of direction... things that come to our mind when we miss someone, a loved one, etc.
And here begins the colorful cartoon of the week, hehe. Process in the next images, As Always :)
I confess that I didn't have a definite idea for this drawing. I usually don't have it, haha, and they're my best. They simply come off as I draw. If I could define this, um, phenomenon in words, I would call it a “random design”. XD Of course I have an initial idea, but as I design and make it real, more ideas come up. There are times when I do have ideas ready in my head — extremely detailed images of what I want to do, sometimes. And, look, it's not always easy to bring that sensational idea from head to paper, especially when you're still in a learning phase. But it's through training that we get there, right? :) well, let's go back to the images, haha.
I even made some details for the background of the drawing, but since I haven't defined something I really liked yet, I decided to just paint it myself and leave the background for the future. Who knows, redo the drawing in a few years and see the progress... those things.
It's amazing how I got a taste and patience to draw hair, hahaha. It's one of the parts I like to draw the most, in fact.
Something different about this drawing, in fact, is the style of the mouth (generally I do it closed and expressionless, haha), in this one I wanted to change a bit:)
Finished drawing :)
And that's it for today, guys! Have a good week! ^__^
