Drawings of the Week #50

Exploring other highlight effects with Almalexia fan art; doodling in pencils and ink.

The week, despite being busy, yielded a lot of doodling!

Finally I made a fan art from Almalexia too, now there's only one left from Vivec to complete the set, haha ;)

Sometimes, when I'm a little out of time to draw, I do a quick doodle just to warm up, as was the case with this eye in blood pencils:)
Initial sketch I made of Almalexia. I was inspired by her old design, seen in Morrowind. Since I didn't have a good reference for the crown, I created one in my own style, haha.
Since I didn't like the mouth I made very much — I thought it was too big — I modified:
And it looked like this:)
This being my first time trying this type of stronger and more direct lighting, I had even marked the light areas with white pencil before painting the rest... I forgot to take a picture): sorry, I got carried away, hahaha. In those areas, I even reinforced it with shades of yellow, because the light it “holds” is very yellowish, you know?
Some parts I have been detailing little by little. I also confess that I feel like I lost a little bit in the color of her skin. As a Chimer (Changed Elf), she has more golden skin. The others, Vivec and Sotha Sil, are also Chimer, but each one has become a little different because of Azura's curse. Vivec is half Chimer and Dunmer (Dark Elf); Sotha Sil is more Dunmer and so on (and here I go getting excited about Lore From the game, hahaha. Sorry). More photos of the finished drawing below:
Details of the crown I invented, haha.

In addition to the lighting challenge itself, it was not easy to take a reference to such an old character, considering the era in which Morrowind was launched - 2002. Mega characters “tough” and strange... I was still lucky that I found a very good mod version of it for the game that you can see in this picture. Still, of course, I always give it my own touch overall. I think this is very important, regardless of the reference we use. I didn't want to use much as a reference to New version of it seen in Elder Scrolls Online because I thought it was very “simple”. A “goddess” should be more sensational, haha. The only real reference thing I used in the new one was her pose, holding the light.

Now, to do the Sotha Sil The new version was worth a lot... not least because in Morrowind... well, I don't want to give spoilers to those who didn't play it, but anyway... leave it quiet, hahaha. I also intend to use Vivec as a reference to the Elder Scrolls Online version, but I won't make it half gold/half blue as seen there, but half gold/half gray, as it should be.

I even decided, at the end of it all, to use the white pen to highlight the sparkle in my eyes. I usually do this when the white pencil isn't as strong as I'd like, hehe.
And here the two are ready. ALMSI — only VI is missing, hahaha XD — fans will love this one, hahaha ~ or not, lol ~
And now let's move on to the other doodles of the week. Another quick and loose one just in the pens:)
And here's a thoughtful little monster, hahaha — probably thinking of a name for it, since I don't know what name to give it):
That was in the pencil, just. Very loose too, just exploring possibilities and ideas that come to mind:)
And the last sketch of the week.
Also loose in a medium style Cyberpunk.
This style is somewhat recurrent in some of my drawings. Love the theme, haha.
Finished drawing:)

And that's it for today, guys. Keep drawing!
