I drew a little this week too... it would be too busy, my God): but despite that, the important thing is to always draw when you can! And here are this week's drawings:
I wanted to make a mermaid in the sea, with surrounding corals, bubbles, etc.
I used orange and red on my hair, plus a little bit of blue and green as well to try to give a more visible effect that she was out at sea.
For the tail, I used shades of purple and pink, as well as blue and white.
I like to mark the light and shadow areas little by little and add several layers until I get the contrast I want.
For the corals, I used light green mixed with dark blue.
In addition, I created a greenish lighting around it, as if it were an intervention of light coming from surrounding corals and beyond.
It had a pretty cool effect.
Finished drawing. It took me longer than I imagined to do, but it was worth it:)
And while I was working, I did some doodling with pen on a dotted sheet that I printed, hahaha.
And here's another sketch in the sketchbook. Made with ink pens.
I'm really enjoying using the gold pen to illuminate some areas of the drawing:)
And that's it for today, unfortunately :(
I can't wait to be able to draw more this week... but for now, work comes first, right? :)
