I missed doing TES (The Elder Scrolls) fan art, so I took advantage of this week to make some digital drawings of characters from the series. As you may already know - because I almost always comment here, hahaha - I love The Elder Scrolls franchise! XD
A doodle of Sotha Sil — one of my favorite characters in the game!
I finally finished painting that tower drawing I made. I painted it myself and took the opportunity to play more with the layer effects to reinforce the lighting and shadows that I had created in shades of gray and white:)
Random doodle during a pause from work, hahaha — I was making an HTML layout for a client :)
And here's the last sketch/painting of the week: Daedric Prince Nocturnal fan art (yes, Elder Scrolls, haha). I did it my usual way, of course: messy, loose lines. I love XD
At first I wasn't going to paint and the idea was just to keep it in shades of gray and white, but I got carried away and decided to play a little more.
On the left side is the painted version that I created (pure, in a way, without layer adjustments - the way I usually do it). Since I didn't like it very much because the tones were too “warm” for my taste, I decided to use Procreate's Color Balance feature to adjust the shades (right). It's something similar to what we have in Photoshop when we want to adjust the tonality of the art as a whole, to make the entire drawing have colors that make sense for the environment itself, you know? There are various light interferences that come from the environment and that affect the tones of the skin and surrounding objects. It's a bit complex to explain, but over time and as you study you can understand it better, hehe.
To keep and ensure that I still had the version in shades of gray, I duplicated the design to test, hehe — not least because due to the configurations I created the canvas I was only entitled to 4 layers. Below, time-lapse:
That's it, guys. I hope you enjoyed it and there will be more next week!
