Drawings of the Week #82

Practicing perspective in Procreate and drawings in pastel pencils.

This week I decided to explore Procreate's perspective guides. I had studied perspective a bit in the past, but since I don't do a lot of perspective drawings, I decided to study a little more this week.

In Procreate you also have the option of “assisted” drawing when you connect a specific tab. This means that regardless of the line you draw, it will follow the guide. I don't really like to use this, unless it's to create patterns (like mandalas, for example, it's very useful for this type of drawing). In the case below, I decided to just connect the guides and draw loosely on top.

In the case of this drawing, I created a vanishing point only on the guide (the blue line you see on the horizon).
I haven't finished that drawing yet. I want to paint it and detail it better, but it's worth testing the Procreate perspective guide and studying a little more. Remember that in general it was done without reference, except for the position of the bridge, but lighting and shadows were awesome:)
Here's a doodle in pastel pencils on my Kraft paper sketchbook from Myolito <3
Completely unreferenced design, by the way. As I already mentioned here, I like to draw completely without reference sometimes to see where I am and what I need to improve.
Finished drawing. I also used white ink pen for some details.
Scribble made with reference to the pose only.
I also decided to paint in pastel pencils. I made her hair green because I hadn't dyed green hair for a while, hahaha. I missed you <3
In the details of her outfit I thought of creating a scenario that ended up being “more or less”, hahaha. On the other hand, it was interesting because it resembles an XD print outfit.
Finished drawing. In fact, I bought this drawing board this week to be able to use underneath the drawings, to hold better, you know? I hate drawing on a loose sheet with the paper on the table straight down, hahah. In the old days, I used an old piece of even thick cardboard.
And here's another thing I bought: a white board to play with, hahaha. I decided to leave a message for myself and for everyone who loves to draw: “one drawing a day keeps problems away” XD

By the way: be sure to check out older posts, where I comment more about how I draw hair, how I paint my drawings, etc. It can help you a lot;)

And that's it for today, guys. Until next week! o/
