Fanarts

Some fanarts I made of characters from games, series, etc. over the past few years.

And here we come with another post full of drawings for you!

As I promised in a previous post, I was going to post to you some of the fanarts I made over the years. I love to make fanarts about games that I love, characters, and people from time to time (usually Simone Simons, who is my favorite singer, hahaha). When I started the illustration journey back in 2013, I trained a lot with photos — faces of artists, actresses, etc. Here's a tip for you too who want to start training. It's always good to take photos of people, animals, etc. and train observation, try to reproduce them on paper based on observation. Well-trained eyes make us reach new horizons! Hehe!

You will notice that most of the drawings (this is because it doesn't include all of them, not least because I made a lot of drawings in recent years, haha) are only in pencil. It was a time when I trained light and shade to the extreme and played little here and there with colors - which is why today I am more focused on making colorful drawings and having trained so much light and shadow in the past made it easier for me to transition from shades of gray to color. All that was needed was that hint of courage to start, haha.

Samus Aran (character from the Metroid game). I made it in 2013 at the request of some friends. I had to paint, which reminds me now, hahaha. I was going to do a digital painting of it, but at the time I ended up abandoning it because I wasn't feeling confident painting it. Maybe one day XD
Those who play Resident Evil are well aware of Ada Wong. It's one of my favorite characters.
These two drawings were also made in 2013 and inspired by Emilia Clarke (first) and the second was more inspired by her character in the series Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen. Although neither of them looked anything like her, I was happy at the time with the result, hahaha. The first one, even, was from the time when I started training light and shade. The second is more authorial.
Those last three were also made in 2013, inspired by the character Catherine from the game of the same name, Catherine. In fact, it's a very interesting game, all with an anime look and full of puzzles to make anyone crazy, haha. I love.
Audrey Hepburn, Clark Gable, and Natalie Portman, respectively. They were made with markers in shades of gray in 2013, at the beginning of the course.
It's always so good to make posts that remind me of what I was doing, of what I'm doing today and to be able to imagine the progress I'll have in a few more years! May it also serve as an inspiration for you to never give up on your dreams and designs! <3
The singer I mentioned, Simone Simons from the band EPICA (last three cartoons, 2013 — 2014). I hope one day to make her 100% perfect, hahaha. \ m/
Those last two were inspired by the anime Elfen Lied. The first is the character Nyu/Lucy and the second is Mariko. Both were made in 2013.
Sketches I made for a course assignment in 2014 (posters of the movie Kill Bill — one of my favorite movies, by the way). O The final work was completely different from what I had initially in mind, haha, but it's worth remembering those sketches that were really cool.
Sketch of the 10th Doctor, (David Tennant) from the series Doctor Who (2014).
Inspired by the 3DS/Wii U game, Mighty Switch Force (2013). The character is called Patricia Wagon.
Sketch inspired by the character Chun-Li, from the game Street Fighter (2013).
Sketch I made in 2013 for an @IgersNintendo Instagram contest. Yoshi, Mario and Link.
Although between 2013-2014 I drew mostly pencil-only drawings, I made some colored ones as well. As an example, these two inspired by the game Yoshi's Island.
Sketches of Link and Hylia (Skyward Sword manga) that I made in 2013 for training.
Sketch of the character Amaterasu from the game Okami (2013). Beautiful game, by the way!
Boo, character from the game Super Mario (left) and the Pokémon Charizard (right) — 2013. These two drawings were even some of the first drawings I made in my first sketchbook:)
Pokémon, Vulpix (2013). One of my favorite Pokémons! This was also done in my first sketchbook, when I was learning how to make light and shadow.
More sketches (2014) — Jack Skellington from the Tim Burton movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas (love!) and the Mewtwo Pokémon. I love Pokémon, of course, haha <3

I decided to close with some Pokémon drawings because in the next post in the series Drawings of the Week we will have new designs inspired by Pokémon! Don't miss out!

A teaser, haha:

NOTE: you can see more old drawings and paintings In this post. Some are more recent too... and there are more varied arts there in my portfolio at Behancehere and here.
