I can't believe we're already in the 100th edition of the Drawings of the Week, hahaha. It's a lot of drawing, my God! XD

I didn't plan anything special, but if it was/were to do it, I would think of maybe a promotion or raffle... what do you think? I'm not sure if they'd be interested in something like that :)

I've been playing Resident Evil 2 Remake - and what a game, by the way! Pure nostalgia! If you played the original, I highly recommend that you play this remake! It's wonderful — I decided to do a new Ada Wong fan art. I had done one in 2013, the year I started drawing non-stop, so it was something cool to compare with this new one. In addition to him, I did a loose doodle on Procreate.

Very loose indeed, nothing specific in mind, although I really like the cyborg theme and it is something recurring in my arts.
Finished drawing. Time-lapse here.

Yes, I continue to work on shades of gray first and then with colors. I'm enjoying it a lot and it's been a good practice in digital art. As I mentioned in Past post, I can better define the light and shadow values, although I have no problems also painting directly in color.

Ada Wong sketch.
Final result. I haven't posted the time-lapse yet because I want to edit and add cool background music, haha.

I'm still not 100% happy with the result of this fan art, because I know that I still need to study more anatomy and improve certain details. I know that over time and with more training I will get there, but overall it was very cool. The perspective remained a bit Off Since I did it headlong and without a grid, but on the other hand it gave a certain charm and movement to the painting in general.

Here's a comparison with a doodle made in 2013 — even when I was still afraid to paint my drawings, haha.

I like to show comparisons so that you can see how important it is to practice often. I have now completed 6 years of practice in art and just look at the progress! I still have a lot to improve and, as I always say, we always have/will improve. I am sure that even artists with much more experience than me must still learn something new with each work, study, etc.

That's what should motivate you to keep going. Don't be scared of failures or Dead-Ends that you will find on the way because it's super normal. Nowadays I'm still faced with some, haha! Things I want to do and still can't do. Normal. After so many years of practicing, I try not to let this frustrate me and I move on because I know that with a little more effort, study and experience I will get there.

And that's it for today, guys! Don't forget to subscribe to newsletter so as not to miss any updates, see? In addition, newsletter subscribers get a calendar/planner every month and special discounts at the store! Enjoy ;)
