This week I returned to playing with digital art by doing a cool doodle on Procreate. Love the app, hehe!

I'm seriously thinking of raising some money to buy an iPad Pro + Apple Pencil, you know? Although in my case, for work and everything else, I think it would be more worth buying a 13" Cintiq (yes, the small one because it's “cheaper”, haha), to use with Photoshop... not least because my old iPad Air breaks a branch to work with Procreate, not to mention that despite the app being extraordinarily advanced, modern and with several features, I still feel that the number of layers/size of the canvas is a lot limited because it depends on the resolution of the iPad.

Using an iPad Pro even pays off, because you can create art of up to 16,000 px (but, again, it depends on the amount of layers you want - and an iPad Pro + Apple Pencil is costing you a kidney and two eyes, hahaha).

With a Cintiq I have greater freedom to work directly in Photoshop, not to mention that it is still the number one digitizer when it comes to working with illustrations. And the iPad is cool because you can take it anywhere, just break that branch... anyway, we'll see, haha.

Do you who follow the posts have any preferences? If you could choose the iPad Pro or Cintiq, which one would you choose? It would be nice to hear your opinion :)

Well, let's get to the drawings!

I started the week with this doodle on the sketchbook using a pencil and white pastel pencils:)
That other doodle was done using a reference photo for the pose. I wanted to try a pose a bit different from what I usually do, even to serve as a study and learn more.
This one I decided to paint with pastel pencils and play a bit with the lighting:)
Finished drawing, Daydream. I love the yellow ones that come in the case of 60 Polychromos pencils. It has a yellow color that is almost white, I love using it to create lighting of this type and I used it a lot in the drawings I made of Sotha Sil (#48 and #53) ^__^
And here is the digital doodle:) I gave the name of the art of Moon & Stars. Soon I will add both this and the Daydream. Below, time-lapse of Procreate! \ o/

And that's it for today, guys. I hope you enjoyed the post. If you have any thoughts regarding the iPad Pro x Cintiq, please feel free to comment below. I would very much like to know what you prefer, if you've used/tested both, especially for work, which is my current focus :)
